Our History
Jesus said in Luke 13:31 “The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard see, which a man took, and sowed in his field: Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greastest among the herbs, and becometh a tree…”
Surely, the church which worshipped in the “chicken house” is evidence of what Jesus said. The church which began with 12 members and a yearly offering of $130 has become much greater than its’ beginning. When we pray “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done” our church is one of God’s answers to prayer. As you read our history, let us agree that with God from small beginnings we can always expect great results.
June 14, 1953 the church was formally organized with 12 charter members present.
Our first place of worship was the “chicken house.” A building used for raising chickens was converted into a place where God’s people with a vision could worship Him.
